I’m sorry I haven’t posted anything in a while, but I got a couple of job interviews and had to do a quick trip to Norway, so I’ve been rather busy lately! I think it went well by the way… 😉 Time will tell..

Ah, also, the tutors have decided who gets to showcase their work at New Designers in London, and I’m one of them, yey! So if you’re in London between the 26th and 29th of June you can come by and have a look at my work up close 🙂

About this dress:

Of all the designs in my collection this dress was the first design that gave me a clear direction and it acted as inspiration for the rest of my garments. The whole dress is hand screen printed with devore paste to create a subtle burnout textile design. The red circles (based on lingonberries!) are full of detail with various techniques used on them such as dyeing, screen print, flock, foil, discharge print and machine embroidery. The neckline has a digital print with flock on top. The devore creates a sheer see through effect and the dress can be worn with or without a tight fitting white slip.
