Tusen takk Melissa! Kjempehyggelig at du liker det jeg gjør 🙂 Ja, jeg er mor nå, og Lucas er herlig! Han har nettopp lært seg å vinke og gjøre high-fives 🙂

I get inspired by almost anything! I am fascinated by the most mundane things (which sometimes can be a bit annoying for others as I’ll often point out something random, like a leaf on the ground or something, and talk about how special/beautiful/interesting it is). If I look back on my work these past years at University I seem to seek inspiration from my childhood, whether it is from fairy tales or toys, or experiences like jumping in a puddle or going to an amusement park. I love the energy and and imagination found in childhood and try to incorporate that into my work. My other big source of inspiration is nature. I’m realising the value of primary research for my work more and more and you can’t get any more “primary” than nature! And it’s extremely varied, so you never run out to things to study and you can use all senses to discover it. My biggest concern when using nature as a source of inspiration is that it is so perfect already that I sometimes wonder what the point is in trying to creating something myself, as it will never be as beautiful as what I took my inspiration from!

I didn’t realise I come accross as humble, but if I do I take that as a great compliment! If I am humble about my work it is because I see talents, any talent, as a gift, and therefore something to be grateful for, not proud of. I think it is everyones responsibility to try to make the most of the gifts, talents and oportunities given to them 🙂

Thank you for your interest!
