Next for my interview they wanted me to present to them a moodboard showing what I thought would be relevant trends for our customer for AW13/14 and select three key items for fall, 2 tops and one bottom, and product develop them to suit WOW’s customer.
This was a bit scary as it was July, so even though there was a lot of information to find about this season I also knew that all their orders for aw13 would have been placed already, so I could risk focusing on a trend that was completely off and not at all what they had planned for the season. But it turns out I was spot on! I can’t say exactly what they are doing, but some of the items they had already bought in for fall and winter were very similar to some of my designs here, so I’m really pleased with that.
I’m not 100% Happy with these boards, my drawing could have been a lot nicer and I’ve even noticed some typos, but I was preparing for this interview in the same week I was exhibiting at New Designers in London, so I had to compromise because of time. Despite the little things I still feel that they portray the mood and style I wanted to and gives a clear picture of my ideas for the WOW customer for that season.
